Average price by brand
Mean list price per brand across stations that report each fuel. We only list brands with at least 10 stations in our sample, and we merge common name variants (e.g. Tesco Express → Tesco). Supermarket forecourts are attributed to the supermarket name (Tesco, Asda, etc.), not only the fuel supplier shown on the pole sign. Brands are sorted by average E10 (lowest first).

Figures are derived from live station listings and historical price snapshots in the FuelNearby dataset. They are not identical to official government or RAC national averages. Use the interactive map for exact prices near you.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the UK Fuel Price Index?
- A snapshot of list prices across stations in our dataset: UK-wide averages for E10 petrol and B7 diesel, supermarket vs other forecourts, and averages by brand. It is not an official government index — it reflects live retailer feeds aggregated on FuelNearby.
- How are 7-day and 30-day changes calculated?
- We sample many stations across the country, read each site’s price-history buckets (same snapshots as our station charts), and take the mean change in pence per litre versus the 7-day and 30-day buckets. That approximates broad movement in our data, not every forecourt individually.
- Why filter some prices out of averages?
- We exclude obvious outliers (e.g. implausible pence-per-litre values from bad data) so national averages stay representative of real UK forecourts.
- How often is this page updated?
- Station list prices refresh hourly from retailer feeds. This page is rebuilt periodically with cached data for performance.
